Hello. My name is Miss Seo and I am a Home Economics teacher at West Vancouver Secondary School. I have been teaching since 2009. I graduated from University of British Columbia in Bachelors of Home Economics in 2000. Then, I worked at BC Hydro for 4 years. After, I volunteered internationally and locally with orphans, homeless and hospital patients. I went back to school at Capilano University and UBC to become a teacher in 2009. Recently, I graduated from Master of Educational Technology at UBC. I am a true believer of life-long learning. I love working with students and I hope to teach them basic nutritional theory and cookery principles.
My hobbies include dodgeball, softball, ballet, violin, guitar and ultimate frisbee. I like hardworking students and dislike messiness. I'm very outgoing and like meeting new people. My plans for the future is to travel and volunteer all over the world.
My favourite food is Korean BBQ. My favourite chef is Chef Trevor Bird and Chef Ned Bell. My favourite food TV Show is "I do...Let's Eat!" I like most foods, but I dislike eggplant, zucchini and beets. I find them mushy. I have been cooking since I was in grade 3. I have attended cooking classes at the Dirty Apron in Downtown Vancouver and Cook Culture in North Vancouver. I love taking new baking and cooking classes! I hope you learn a lot in this course and Cook Culture in North Vancouver. One recipe I look forward to making is Gingerbread Houses in December with my students!
